All good points. I can understand them wanting their salaries to be kept up with inflation. What do you think about increments? I guess if you're an old timer, you don't get any.
I have to admit, I don't fully understand why they need to go to food banks. I've earnt less than £27k for almost my whole life yet never needed food banks. I guess they have more expenses than I do. And different circumstances.
But you're right, a restructuring of the money so it flows less to the rich and more to those who deserve it, would be worthwhile.
Would it mean the rich take their businesses elsewhere, to the detriment of UK employment, I wonder? There must be a reason why Labour never got this sorted when they had a decade or so in power.
