Agreed. Twitter is a completely different concept, and Twitter Blue is a completely different set of benefits. The cost of it shouldn't really be relevant to Medium.

I hear you on the other stuff. The variable quality can be disappointing, even on the staff selected stories that they try to shove down your throat. They lack research or substance sometimes. And that's supposed to be the good stuff.
