$2500 or $450 - both are remarkable. I've never spent more than £20 on two cuts a year, or a splash of home-dye which cost between £3 and £4.50. These days my hair costs nothing because I cut it myself. That was something I started 20 years ago when I couldn't be bothered to wait for a hairdressing appointment. It was fine. I never looked back.

Saying that, older ladies do have a thing about their hair. My mother in law and aunt have visiting hairdressers once a week! Which is just ridiculous in my view.

I probably wouldn't recommending cutting your own for people with a shorter or more complex style though. Mine is simple.
